For the Chicken Cutlets:
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 egg, whisked with a splash of milk
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup Panko
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Garlic Butter:
- 4 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons mayo
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2–3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
For the Caesar Dressing:
- ½ cup mayo
- ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- Salt & pepper to taste
For Assembly:
- 4 hoagies or baguettes
- 3–4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts into thin cutlets.
- Whisk egg, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Coat chicken in egg mixture, then breadcrumbs and Panko.
- Fry in hot oil over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Set aside.
- Mix garlic butter ingredients and spread inside sliced bread.
- Toast bread at 450°F for 3–4 minutes until golden.
- Whisk all Caesar dressing ingredients until smooth.
- Toss romaine lettuce with dressing.
- Assemble sandwiches with chicken, salad, and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter option, bake or air-fry the chicken instead of frying.
Add extra lemon juice to thin out dressing if needed.
Best served fresh to keep the bread crispy and the lettuce crunchy.
