- 1 bag (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and fully drained
- 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 120 mL grated Parmesan cheese
- 60 mL mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Squeeze all moisture from the spinach, then add it to the mixture and stir until evenly combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Spread the spinach mixture evenly, leaving one edge bare.
- Roll the pastry tightly into a log. Wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the log into ½-inch rounds and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
Spinach must be completely dry to avoid soggy pastry.
Keep puff pastry cold for best results.
Can be prepared ahead—slice and bake when needed.
Crescent dough can be used for a softer texture.
