These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are juicy, tender, and coated in a creamy sweet-and-spicy bang bang sauce. Ready in just 22 minutes, they’re perfect as an appetizer, party food, or easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1¼ cups mayonnaise
  • ⅔ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  2. Thread 4–5 chicken cubes onto each soaked skewer.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey.
  4. Reserve half of the sauce for serving and brush the remaining sauce over the chicken skewers.
  5. Arrange skewers in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 11–12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking.
  7. Cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  8. Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with the reserved bang bang sauce.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

Oven Method:
Preheat oven to 400°F. Place skewers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Brush with sauce after baking.

Grill Method:
Grill over medium-high heat for 8–10 minutes per side or until the chicken reaches 165°F. Brush with sauce after grilling.

For extra heat, add additional Sriracha or a pinch of red pepper flakes. Leftover bang bang sauce is delicious on sandwiches, wraps, and roasted vegetables.
