Description
Broccoli Cheese Patties are crispy, cheesy veggie fritters packed with fresh broccoli, cheddar, and Parmesan. Perfect as an easy appetizer, snack, or quick vegetarian dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups broccoli florets, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour or almond meal
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Steam or boil the broccoli florets until tender, about 4–5 minutes. Drain well and chop finely.
- In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, flour, eggs, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
- Scoop portions of the mixture and shape into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- For baking, preheat oven to 375°F and bake patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use almond meal instead of flour.
Make sure the broccoli is well drained to help the patties hold together.
Add paprika, parsley, or chili flakes for extra flavor.
These patties reheat beautifully in the oven or air fryer.
