Brussels Sprouts:
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, halved and trimmed
- 1 tbsp olive or avocado oil
- Salt to taste
Sauce:
- ½ tbsp olive or avocado oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
- ½ tbsp rice vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Pinch Korean-style red pepper (optional)
Optional Toppings:
- Chopped cilantro
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Toss Brussels sprouts with oil and salt until evenly coated.
Air Fryer Method:
Cook at 380°F for 6 minutes, toss, then cook another 5–7 minutes until crispy.Oven Method:
Bake at 400°F for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.- While cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing BBQ sauce, coconut aminos, rice vinegar, salt, and red pepper in a bowl.
- Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add grated ginger and cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
- Add the sauce mixture and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until thickened.
- Toss cooked Brussels sprouts in the sauce until fully coated.
- Return to air fryer (400°F for 2–3 minutes) or oven (400°F for 2–3 minutes) to caramelize.
- Garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
