Description

This Easy Peach Cobbler is a classic summer dessert made with juicy fresh peaches and a buttery cinnamon crumble topping. Baked until golden and bubbly, it’s the perfect comfort dessert served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 8 fresh peaches (about 2 pounds), peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

For the Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.
  2. Arrange sliced peaches evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar.
  3. If peaches are very juicy, toss them with 1 tablespoon cornstarch before placing them in the dish.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a moist, crumbly batter forms.
  7. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the peaches.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes.
  10. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.

Blanch peaches for 30–60 seconds in boiling water, then transfer to ice water for easy peeling.

Substitute one 29-ounce can of sliced peaches if fresh peaches aren’t available.

Reduce the sugar slightly if your peaches are naturally sweet.

Add 1 tablespoon cornstarch to juicy peaches to prevent a runny filling.

For extra crumble topping, increase topping ingredients by 50%.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the ultimate dessert experience.
