Instructions

- Arrange sliced peaches evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar.
- If peaches are very juicy, toss them with 1 tablespoon cornstarch before placing them in the dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine melted butter and vanilla extract.
- Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a moist, crumbly batter forms.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the peaches.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes.
