Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound (450 g) fresh ripe peaches, diced
- 1 large Roma tomato, diced
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- ½ jalapeño, minced (seeds and membranes removed)
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, minced
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Wash and prepare all the fresh ingredients.
- Dice the peaches and Roma tomato into small bite-sized pieces.
- Finely dice the red onion and mince the jalapeño after removing the seeds and membranes.
- Chop the cilantro.
- Add the peaches, tomato, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice to a large mixing bowl.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Gently stir until everything is evenly combined.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or spoon over grilled chicken, fish, tacos, or shrimp.
Notes
For a spicier salsa, leave some or all of the jalapeño seeds and membranes, or substitute a habanero pepper.
Let the salsa rest for 10–15 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Stir before serving again, as the peaches naturally release juice.
Fresh peaches provide the best flavor and texture; frozen peaches are not recommended.
