Description

Greek Feta Turkey Burgers are juicy, flavor-packed, and easy to make, combining fresh herbs, feta cheese, and creamy tzatziki for a delicious Mediterranean-inspired meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Turkey Burgers:

  • 1 pound ground turkey (85% lean, 15% fat)
  • ¼ cup finely chopped Italian parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons very finely diced red onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Olive oil (for cooking)

For Serving:

  • 4 burger buns (sesame or brioche)
  • Tzatziki sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Crumbled feta cheese
  • Tomato slices
  • Cucumber slices
  • Onion slices
  • Lettuce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tzatziki sauce ahead of time or use store-bought. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, parsley, dill, oregano, red onions, garlic, feta, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form patties about ½ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until fully cooked and golden brown.
  5. Assemble burgers: spread tzatziki on the bun, add lettuce, turkey patty, feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and more tzatziki.
  6. Top with the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the turkey mixture to keep burgers tender and juicy.
  • Make patties slightly larger than buns since they shrink while cooking.
  • Avoid pressing burgers while cooking to retain moisture.
  • Tzatziki can be made up to 2 days in advance.
  • These burgers can also be grilled instead of pan-cooked.
