Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Fresh parsley or oregano for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes (if using), garlic, and lemon juice.
- Remove skillet from heat and spoon the hot honey mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese over each piece.
- Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with fresh parsley or oregano and serve hot with pan juices.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing hot sauce and red pepper flakes.
- Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts for extra juiciness.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving for best texture.
- Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
