Description

This Spinach Garlic Meatballs Recipe is a comforting, flavor-packed dish made with juicy meat, sautéed spinach, and garlic, all wrapped around a gooey mozzarella center. Perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining, these meatballs are easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, sautéed and chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or oats/almond flour)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz low-moisture mozzarella cubes (chilled)
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Enhancements:

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté spinach with garlic for 3–4 minutes until wilted. Let cool, then chop finely.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, الإيطalian seasoning, salt, pepper, and chopped spinach mixture. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Take a portion of the mixture, flatten slightly, and place a chilled mozzarella cube in the center. Wrap and roll into a sealed ball.
  4. Cook meatballs by either baking at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes or pan-searing over medium-high heat for 6–8 minutes per side.
  5. Optional: Simmer in marinara sauce for 5–10 minutes for extra flavor.
  6. Let meatballs rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use chilled mozzarella to prevent cheese from leaking during cooking.

Avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.

You can substitute turkey for a lighter option.

These freeze well—perfect for meal prep!
