Oven-Baked Cabbage Burgers are a healthy low-carb twist on classic burgers, featuring juicy seasoned meat baked on tender roasted cabbage rounds and topped with melty cheese.

For the Cabbage
- 1 small head cabbage, cut into thick slices
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Meat Mixture
- 1 pound ground beef, ground turkey, or ground chicken
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large egg (optional)
Optional Topping
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange cabbage slices on the baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
- Roast the cabbage for 10 minutes until slightly softened.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg if using.
- Remove cabbage from the oven and place a mound of meat mixture on top of each cabbage slice.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the meat is fully cooked.
- Sprinkle cheese on top and broil for 3–5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use lean ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version with less grease.
Thick cabbage slices hold together best during roasting.
Don’t skip the broiling step if you love golden bubbly cheese.
